Helicopter Operations
Agriculture & Forestry
We have been operating Helicopters, based at Cooroy on the Sunshine Coast since 1982. (Hazardous Area No. 1 - DPI AC-DC Board). During this time we have carried out approx 15,500 hours of aerial spraying! (tens of thousands of Ha's!)
We carry out Aerial Application of Herbicide spraying for various Forestry Departments throughout Queensland and New South Wales. All work has been carried out in a prompt and professional manner.
We have been instrumental in taking 'placement' spraying of Herbicides for forestry, pre and post plant operations to levels never before achieved with aerial application.
We have multiple sets of spray gear capable of applying either high or low volume application.
We have eight sets of 'ACCU-FLOW nozzles specifically designed for high volume Forestry application of herbicides. These nozzles have been developed in the USA and are the latest technology in Helicopter application of herbicides!! They are designed so as to eliminate fine droplets and are mandatory equipment for the US Forestry. We also have three sets of high volume 'rain drop' nozzles.
We have eight sets of low volume application equipment, including air driven, electrically driven and hydraulically driven rotary atomisers
Our Helicopters are each fitted with spray volume flow meters, so as to ensure correct application rates are achieved.
We have 'underslung' fertilizer hoppers for application of solid materials, from mosquito control agents as low as 1.0 kg per hectare up to fertilizer at 500 kg + per ha
We have 'on-board' air blast solids broadcaster units. These units are ideally suited to low to medium applications (1.0 -60.0 kg / ha)
With our 'top-loading' support trucks loading time for the chemical mix into the Helicopter, whilst on the 'nurse truck' is approximately 60 seconds, from landing to take-off!!
We are in a position to be able to supply two (or more) Helicopters to a job site so as to minimise the treatment time and take advantage of favourable weather conditions etc, where required.
